Beautifully written. I hold in my possession my Nana’s double strand of pearls, which my father bought her on his first travels to Europe. I treasure them, but I have only ever worn them to her funeral. I still keep her leather kid gloves, a suede purse and leopard-print hat in her hat box in my tiny closet.
